IBM

The main appeal of the newly redesigned premises of IBM in Technická Street in Brno is their versatile usage options and variability.

The training and conference rooms have been changed into facilities which offer their employees personal space and the possibility to organise meetings of any size.

In one part of the rooms, a discussion is taking place while standing, in another, people are sharing ideas in the comfort of soft seating, and in the next, they are already sitting at desks and finishing the output. This is one example of how the rooms can be used for various activities. Mobile furniture enables a quick change of the setting of the room. This is the cornerstone of the whole multi-purpose concept of the building, which can satisfy various requirements of the employees. Zealous discussions, teamwork, individual work or just reading a book in private – in a moment, the whole room can be shifted to fit one’s needs.

The entire concept is projected in the graphics on the walls with photos of cities where IBM is represented, but also the smart application of so called smart-walls, which can be used as a whiteboard. The facilities also offer the most recent technologies from the worlds of IT and office environments. The interior was furnished by U1 in co-operation with IBM’s supplier, Kinnarps co.
